Sofia Lindström, Sweden★★★★★The landscapes were surreal, but what made the trip special was the way it was organised. It never felt rushed, and every day had a purpose. The combination of adventure and calm moments was perfect.
Lars Nilsen, Norway★★★★★Seeing wildlife in Masai Mara was something I had only seen in documentaries. The experience was seamless, from the lodges to the safaris. Every game drive felt like a new story unfolding.
Emilia Novak, Poland★★★★★The sunsets, the animals, the vast open land — everything felt magical. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, and the overall experience felt both luxurious and authentic.
Tammy Becker, Germany★★★★★Vietnam surprised me in the best way possible. From the mountains to the cities, everything was well-paced and thoughtfully planned. It felt immersive rather than touristic.
Ingrid Solberg, Norway★★★★★The mix of culture, food, and landscapes was incredible. I loved how every detail was taken care of, yet it still felt like a real, local experience.
Sara Dubois, France★★★★★Bali was the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. Beautiful villas, great food, and unique experiences every day. It felt like a reset I didn’t know I needed.
Anna Kowalska, Poland★★★★★Everything was smooth from start to finish. The itinerary allowed enough time to enjoy each place without feeling rushed. Truly a refreshing and well-designed trip.
Christine, Switzerland★★★★★Bhutan was peaceful, spiritual, and beautifully untouched. The experience felt very exclusive and meaningful. It’s not just a destination, it’s a feeling.

About Himma: The Vision & Mission
"From the Fjords to the Peaks: The Story of Himma"Himma was born from a simple realization: that the most profound human transformations happen when we step far outside our comfort zones. Founded in Norway, Himma is more than an adventure tourism company; it is a bridge between the structured life of Europe and the untamed spirit of the Himalayas.
Our Mission is to curate premium, life-defining motorcycle expeditions and adventure trips that prioritize authentic cultural immersion, safety, and personal mastery. We don’t just show you a map; we lead you through the high passes of Ladakh, Nepal, and Bhutan, with plans to expand our presence across Asia and Southeast Asia by the end of 2026.
Our Vision is to become the leading Scandinavian-standard gateway to the East, creating a global community of riders who seek not just a destination, but a deeper connection with the world and themselves.
Meet the Founder: Aleksandra (Al)
"Heading: Led by Passion, Guided by Experience"Himma is the vision of Aleksandra (Al), a Polish-Norwegian biker who has spent over half her life on two wheels. With more than 12 years of experience designing and leading group adventures across multiple continents, Al is a veteran of the road who understands the soul of the journey.
In 2019, Al completed her first solo Himalayan ride—a journey that sparked a lifelong spiritual and professional connection to the region. Driven by this passion, she eventually left her career in engineering to focus entirely on crafting meaningful, high-altitude adventure journeys.
On tour, Al is known for creating a warm, joyful atmosphere where every rider feels safe, informed, and genuinely seen. Her unique background allows her to bridge technical precision with emotional intelligence, helping guests build confidence on their bikes while turning a group of strangers into a lifelong tribe of friends.
Our Elite Partnership: Himma & High Mountains
"Unrivaled Expertise. Seamless Expeditions."We believe that a premium adventure requires a perfect blend of European standards and deep local knowledge. That is why our Himalayan tours are delivered in exclusive partnership with High Mountains, ensuring professional leadership and impeccably organized expeditions.
Aman Singh Gulati, the founder and owner of High Mountains, brings unparalleled Himalayan expertise to our convoys. With over 13 years in adventure travel and more than 100 successful journeys led across the highest motorable roads in the world, Aman is a master of the terrain.
Together, Himma and High Mountains offer all-inclusive motorcycle adventures for riders who want to feel every moment. Expect raw routes through rugged landscapes, small intimate groups, and moments of true mastery. By combining Al’s rider-first approach with Aman’s authentic regional insight and technical leadership, we ensure every expedition runs smoothly, safely, and beyond expectations.
Why Choose Himma?
"The Himma Standard: Why Ride With Us?"At Himma, we don’t just sell tours; we deliver a Scandinavian standard of expedition excellence in the world’s most challenging terrains. Here is why discerning riders from Norway and Europe choose us:
The Scandi-Himalayan Bridge: We combine Norwegian precision and safety standards with deep, authentic Indian and Himalayan expertise. You get the best of both worlds.
Expert Leadership: Led by Aleksandra (Al), an engineer turned expedition leader, and Aman Singh Gulati, a veteran of 100+ Himalayan crossings. You are in the most capable hands out there.
Beyond the Ride – A Total Experience: We don’t just focus on the trip; we focus on the experience. We introduce you to the soul of the land—from the ancient traditions of the local people to the quiet spirituality of hidden monasteries. Whether it is the meditative hum of a smooth bike ride through a valley, or the raw adrenaline of a high-pass crossing, we curate every moment.
Cultural Immersion: You won’t just pass through villages; you will experience them. We prioritize authentic connections, local flavors, and stories that you won’t find in any guidebook.
Rugged Terrain, Premium Comfort: We know the Himalayas are tough, but your rest shouldn’t be. We look after the comfort of our riders and travelers even in the most remote locations. From hand-picked premium camps to cozy, high-standard stays, we ensure you have the perfect space to recharge after a day on the road.
Intimate Group Sizes: We keep our convoys small. This ensures a warm and relaxed atmosphere where you aren’t just a number—you are a teammate and a friend.
Personal Mastery: We go beyond guiding; we help you grow. Our trips are designed to build your confidence on the bike, helping you master the terrain and leaving you with a lasting sense of achievement.
1. Do I need to be an expert rider to join?
Not necessarily. While you should be comfortable on a motorcycle and hold a valid license, you don’t need to be a professional. Our founder, Al, specializes in building rider confidence, and our team provides constant support to help you master the terrain.
Non-riders are welcome: If you don’t ride, we can arrange a professional rider for you so you can enjoy the journey as a pillion passenger. Alternatively, you can join the convoy from the comfort of one of our premium SUVs.
2. Can I join as a solo female rider?
Absolutely. Himma is led by a female biker, and we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, safe, and empowering environment. Whether you are traveling alone or with friends, you will find a supportive tribe here.
3. Can I bring a passenger (pillion)?
Yes, our expeditions are pillion-friendly! However, the Himalayan terrain can be demanding. We recommend that passengers have some experience with long-distance travel. If a passenger prefers a break from the bike, they can always hop into our comfortable support SUV at any time.
4. What is included in the "All-Inclusive" package?
Our packages are designed for total peace of mind. They typically include:
Premium Motorcycle rental (Royal Enfield Himalayan) & Fuel.
High-quality accommodation (Premium or Standard, based on your package).
Most meals, necessary permits, and an AMS (Altitude Sickness) Medical Kit.
Professional support vehicles, mechanical assistance, and expert guiding.
The Ice on the Cake: We capture your journey with professional gears, so you leave with high-end photos and videos of your adventure.
5. What kind of accommodations should I expect?
We prioritize your recovery because we know that a good night’s sleep is essential for a safe ride the next day.
In Leh: We stay in premium hotels (or high-quality, vetted standard hotels depending on your chosen package).
In the Mountains: We utilize neat, clean, and hygienic “Glamping” setups or hand-picked boutique guesthouses that capture the local charm without sacrificing comfort. Even when the terrain is rugged, we ensure your evenings are warm, restorative, and welcoming.
Please Note: The Himalayas are raw and untamed. In a few specific, remote terrains, the environment is exceptionally challenging, and traditional luxury is simply not possible. In these rare locations, we focus on providing the highest level of comfort, safety, and hygiene available, ensuring you are well-rested and ready for the next day’s adventure.
6. Is there a support vehicle for my luggage?
Yes. You ride light and free! Our professional backup vehicle carries your main luggage, spare parts, tools, and medical supplies. All you need to carry is a small personal day-pack for your essentials.
7. Is it safe to ride at such high altitudes (e.g., Umling La)?
Safety is our absolute priority. We design our routes with dedicated acclimatization days to let your body adjust. Our partner, High Mountains, brings 13 years of expertise in high-altitude safety. We carry medical oxygen and comprehensive first-aid kits on every single trip.
8. What happens if I get Altitude Sickness (AMS)?
Our lead, Aman, and our experienced Tour Captains are professionally trained to spot early symptoms of AMS. With our built-in acclimatization schedule and onboard medical oxygen, we are prepared to take immediate action to ensure your well-being.
9. What kind of insurance do I need?
Standard travel insurance often excludes high-altitude motorcycling. You must have a policy that covers adventure motorcycling over 3,000 meters. We can recommend specialized providers that cater specifically to European riders.
10. Do I need a special visa?
India: Norwegian and Polish citizens are eligible for an e-Tourist Visa, which is easily obtained online.
Bhutan: We handle the entire complex permit and visa process for you.
Nepal: Visas are generally available on arrival; we will provide the latest guidance before you fly.
11. When is the best time to go?
Our season runs from June to September:
June: Famous for snow walls and crisp mountain air.
July/August: The warmest months, ideal for river crossings.
September: Golden landscapes, clear skies, and fewer travelers.
12. How much cash should I carry?
While the tour is all-inclusive, you will need some Indian Rupees (INR) for personal shopping, lunches on transition days, tips, or extra snacks. ATMs are rare outside of Leh, so we strongly recommend bringing cash with you as the safest option.
13. Do I need to be a professional photographer to get good photos?
Not at all. Our team uses professional cameras to document the expedition, ensuring you have world-class content for your memories (and your social media). We also specifically choose routes like Pangong Lake and Umling La for their incredible natural beauty.
14. What gear do I need to bring?
Safety first! You will need a professional riding jacket, trousers, boots, and a helmet. Since Himalayan weather can change from sun to snow in minutes, layering is key. We send a detailed, professional packing list to all confirmed participants.
